Structural Project Engineer (PE)

We’re working with a growing multidisciplinary engineering and architecture firm with a strong presence in New York and offices across several states. The team delivers projects across residential, hospitality, commercial, and infrastructure sectors, with engineers, architects, planners, and consultants working closely together throughout the process. They’re currently looking for a licensed Structural Project Engineer to join the New York team. It’s a strong opportunity for someone looking to grow into a leadership role over time.
What you'll be doing:
Lead structural design and analysis across a range of materials including steel, concrete, timber, and masonry
Prepare calculation packages, technical specifications, and construction documentation
Produce drawings, details, and other engineering deliverables
Review submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and coordinate project updates during construction
Carry out site visits, field observations, and construction administration work as needed
Support structural assessments, retrofit and rehabilitation projects, and forensic investigations
Work closely with architects, MEP teams, geotechnical engineers, civil engineers, and other disciplines throughout the design process
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination
Attend client meetings and help present technical solutions and design decisions
Mentor junior engineers and help guide project delivery across the team
What we're looking for:
Professional Engineer license in New York is required
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
Master’s degree is preferred
Around 5-8 years of structural engineering experience within a consulting or design environment
Strong experience with structural analysis and design software
Revit or similar modeling software experience is a plus
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Organized, detail focused, and comfortable managing multiple deadlines
Willingness to travel to project sites when needed
