Senior Mechanical Engineer (Mission Critical)

You'll join with a strong pipeline of work already behind the business. As one of the senior engineers in the new team, you'll have the opportunity to lead technically demanding projects while mentoring engineers and helping shape how the Raleigh office develops.
What you'll be doing:
Lead mechanical design for mission critical and data center projects
Design HVAC, plumbing and mechanical building systems
Oversee equipment selection and system sizing
Provide technical guidance across controls and fire protection
Complete and review engineering calculations and analysis
Ensure designs meet relevant codes and technical standards
Review construction documents, RFIs and submittals
Coordinate with electrical and other engineering disciplines
Provide technical direction throughout project delivery
Mentor junior engineers as the local team grows
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
8+ years of mechanical engineering or design experience preferred
Strong HVAC and mechanical systems design experience
Experience with plumbing systems and multidisciplinary coordination
Data center or mission critical experience is highly desirable
Healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical or industrial experience will also be considered
Advanced Revit skills
Experience with mechanical design and analysis software
CFD experience would be an advantage
PE license required or strongly preferred
Strong leadership and communication skills
