Senior Landscape Architect

About the company:

This growing multidisciplinary practice partners on large scale public realm and infrastructure projects across New York, with work that includes civic open spaces, sustainable infrastructure, waterfront environments, and urban improvements.

They’re looking for a Senior Landscape Architect who wants to stay hands on in design while playing a key role in project coordination, mentoring, and construction phase delivery.

What you'll be doing:


  • Lead the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects across public realm, infrastructure, and site development work

  • Develop site layouts, grading and drainage plans, planting concepts, hardscape details, and stormwater strategies

  • Prepare and oversee drawings, specifications, technical documentation, presentations, reports, and cost estimates

  • Coordinate project documentation with teams across planning, engineering, architecture, environmental, and surveying disciplines

  • Support projects through all phases, from concept design through construction administration

  • Review shop drawings, respond to contractor questions, complete field observations, and support quality reviews during construction

  • Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance across projects

  • Contribute to proposals, presentations, and business development efforts when needed



What we're looking for:


  • 10+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or site development projects

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Environmental Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field

  • Professional licensure is preferred

  • Strong technical skills across AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and Microsoft Office

  • Experience with 3D modeling and visualization tools such as SketchUp or Rhino is a plus

  • Clear communicator with strong coordination and project management skills across multidisciplinary teams

  • A hands on approach and the ability to balance design, technical delivery, and coordination across multiple projects
