  • Design power distribution systems including emergency, standby, and EPSS systems in line with NEC Articles 700, 701, and 702

  • Design and size power distribution systems, including feeders, breakers, and electrical equipment, to ensure safety, reliability, and code compliance

  • Lead the selection and specification of key electrical equipment, including switchboards, panels, transformers, UPS systems, generators, and transfer switches

  • Develop electrical room layouts and coordinate with other disciplines

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers

  • Support project planning including scope, budget, schedules, and change management

  • Conduct site observations and contribute to feasibility studies, sustainability analysis, and basis of design reports

  • Build strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams

What we're looking for:

  • 8-10 years of experience in electrical engineering design for buildings

  • Strong knowledge of NEC, California, and local building and energy codes

  • Experience across sectors such as commercial, healthcare, life sciences, data centers, or similar

  • Comfort working independently while also collaborating closely with a project team

  • Experience with emergency power systems and limited exposure to medium voltage design

  • Proficiency with Revit, BIM 360, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, and electrical analysis tools such as SKM or similar

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

  • Professional Engineer license preferred

  • Familiarity with LEED, energy codes, and sustainable design practices

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities

More reasons to apply:

  • Hybrid work schedule

  • Exposure to a wide variety of technically interesting projects

  • Real opportunity to lead, mentor, and influence project outcomes

  • A team culture that values collaboration, accountability, and practical problem solving
