What you'll be doing:
Design HVAC and mechanical systems for a range of building projects
Perform heating and cooling load calculations
Select and size mechanical equipment
Develop HVAC layouts and system schematics
Produce equipment schedules and construction documents
Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical and plumbing teams
Work across commercial, residential and institutional projects
Support projects throughout the design process
Ensure designs meet relevant codes and project requirements
Coordinate with wider project teams to resolve technical challenges
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline
Around 4-8 years of mechanical building systems experience
Strong HVAC design experience
Experience completing heating and cooling load calculations
Confident with equipment selection and system sizing
Experience developing mechanical layouts and construction documents
Previous experience within an MEP consulting engineering environment
Ability to take ownership of your work and manage project responsibilities
Strong communication and coordination skills
