Mechanical Engineer (Mission Critical)
About the company:
Joining a new office doesn't usually come with the backing of an established and fast-growing data center practice. Here you'll get both. This MEP consultancy has quickly built a strong presence in the mission critical market and is now investing in its next stage of regional growth.
You'll work on technically demanding projects while joining the local team at an early stage. For a Mechanical Engineer looking to build specialist data center experience and take on more responsibility, there's plenty of room to grow with the business.
What you'll be doing:
Design HVAC and mechanical systems for complex facilities
Support plumbing, fire protection and controls design
Complete load, airflow and ventilation calculations
Support equipment selection and system sizing
Develop coordinated construction drawings and technical documentation
Ensure designs meet relevant building codes and engineering standards
Work closely with electrical and other engineering disciplines
Communicate technical requirements and project updates
Continue developing your technical knowledge through training and project exposure
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
3-7 years of mechanical design experience
Experience designing HVAC and mechanical building systems
Proficiency with Revit
Data center or mission critical experience would be a strong advantage
Experience with healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical or industrial facilities will also be considered
CFD experience is a plus
EIT preferred
PE license or progress toward licensure is a plus
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
More reasons to apply:
Join a brand new office at the beginning of its growth

Take on meaningful responsibility as the local team develops
Learn from engineers with established mission critical expertise
Strong project pipeline backed by a growing MEP consultancy
Competitive compensation for experienced engineers
Clear opportunity to progress as the office expands
