What you'll be doing:
Design and develop electrical systems for healthcare, commercial, and other sectors, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
Perform load calculations, voltage drop analysis, lighting design, and power distribution system designs.
Coordinate with other disciplines such as mechanical and plumbing engineers to ensure integrated design solutions.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and drawings for project submissions and permitting.
Review and assess design documents to ensure accuracy and conformance with client specifications and industry standards.
Assist with project management tasks including budget tracking, timeline management, and client communication.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and collaborate with senior team members on complex design challenges.
Conduct site inspections to ensure electrical systems are installed as designed and meet quality standards
What we're looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
5-10 years of experience as an electrical engineer
Experience in either healthcare or commercial sectors, depending on the role focus
EIT (Engineer-in-Training) preferred; PE (Professional Engineer) license is a bonus
Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations (e.g., NEC, NFPA, ASHRAE, etc.)
Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design tools
