What you'll be doing:
Supporting senior engineers through electrical design and construction administration
Developing electrical system designs using Revit in a BIM environment
Running technical analyses and helping shape design options and recommendations
Assisting with the planning and design of electrical systems for commercial facilities including education, healthcare, office, and industrial projects
Helping prepare proposals, cost estimates, and equipment schedules
Contributing practical and creative solutions to design challenges
Coordinating scope, design details, and timelines with project managers and senior engineers
Reviewing submittals and shop drawings and responding to RFIs in a timely way
Participating in construction site visits, feasibility studies, and basis of design reports
Managing assigned tasks to keep work on schedule and within budget
Taking part in design and construction team meetings
Collaborating closely with colleagues across disciplines
Building strong working relationships with clients, contractors, and internal partners
Ensuring designs meet building codes, energy codes, and LEED standards
What we're looking for:
2-4 years of experience in an electrical design or related engineering role
A solid understanding of building codes, standards, and construction processes, including NEC
Comfort working in Revit, BIM 360, and common engineering software tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail with the confidence to identify issues and make appropriate corrections.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast paced project environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and tools like Bluebeam
A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
Engineer in Training certification preferred
LEED accreditation is a plus
