What you'll be doing:
Maintain a database of qualified subcontractors and suppliers, including conducting prequalification
Lead project pre-bid activities, including attending meetings, distributing plans/specs, and managing bid-day operations, calendar, and in-house activities
Coordinate with outside trade organizations and plan services, including developing and maintaining relationships with subcontractors
Lead online bid solicitation and update the database with proposed and awarded subcontractors
Prepare project management turnover documents, ensuring smooth project transitions
What we're looking for:
Minimum of 3 years working as an Estimator with a commercial general contractor
Estimation experience with commercial projects valued between $5m and $30m+
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Project, and/or Procore
Ability to meet tight estimating deadlines with a high degree of accuracy
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with teams and clients
