Civil Engineer / Land Development – Project Manager

A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is looking for a Civil Engineer / Land Development Project Manager to join its Charlotte team.

What you'll be doing:
Leading land development projects from planning and design through to execution and delivery
Managing site design including grading, stormwater, utilities, roadway, and parking layouts
Preparing detailed plans, reports, technical specifications, and construction documents
Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes
Coordinating with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies
Supporting construction phase services and ensuring compliance with local codes and standards
Mentoring junior engineers and helping support team development
Assisting with client relationships, business development, and project proposals
What we're looking for:
6-8 years of civil engineering experience
PE license in North Carolina or ability to obtain within three months
Strong background in land development and site/civil design
Experience with grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway design
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office
Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills
Previous project management experience preferred
Business development experience and existing client relationships are a plus
