Civil Engineer / Land Development – Project Manager

A growing multidisciplinary engineering firm is looking for a Civil Engineer / Land Development Project Manager to join its Charlotte team.

What you'll be doing:


  • Leading land development projects from planning and design through to execution and delivery

  • Managing site design including grading, stormwater, utilities, roadway, and parking layouts

  • Preparing detailed plans, reports, technical specifications, and construction documents

  • Overseeing project schedules, budgets, and quality control processes

  • Coordinating with clients, municipalities, and regulatory agencies

  • Supporting construction phase services and ensuring compliance with local codes and standards

  • Mentoring junior engineers and helping support team development

  • Assisting with client relationships, business development, and project proposals



What we're looking for:


  • 6-8 years of civil engineering experience

  • PE license in North Carolina or ability to obtain within three months

  • Strong background in land development and site/civil design

  • Experience with grading, stormwater management, utilities, and roadway design

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills

  • Previous project management experience preferred

  • Business development experience and existing client relationships are a plus
