Assistant Project Manager - Civil

About the company:

This engineering firm combines commercial structural expertise with a collaborative project approach. Civil engineers work directly with structural colleagues to support site design for institutional and commercial developments. The firm focuses on quality, coordination, and long-term professional growth rather than chasing high-volume projects. Typical work spans schools, universities, mixed-use developments, offices, and other commercial facilities.

What you'll be doing:

  • Support civil project delivery from concept through construction documents

  • Coordinate civil design efforts with structural, architectural, and MEP teams

  • Assist with project schedules, budgets, and deliverable tracking

  • Work on grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design tasks

  • Help with permitting and agency coordination

  • Participate in client meetings and internal design reviews

  • Support QA/QC processes and project documentation

What we're looking for:

  • 3–5 years of civil engineering or site development experience

  • Exposure to commercial, institutional, or mixed-use projects

  • Knowledge of grading, stormwater management, and utilities (public and private)

  • Experience coordinating with internal design teams and external consultants

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field

  • EIT preferred but not required

More reasons to apply:

  • Clear path toward Project Manager responsibilities

  • Work on commercial and institutional projects with experienced leaders

  • Collaborate closely with civil and structural teams

  • Stable workload with repeat clients

  • Team-oriented culture with opportunities for long-term growth
