What you'll be doing:


  • Lead and manage drainage and flood study projects from start to finish

  • Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic studies, including floodplain analysis and drainage assessments

  • Use modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or XPStorm

  • Prepare detailed drainage reports and documentation for regulatory approval

  • Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and external agencies

  • Engage directly with clients and serve as point-of-contact throughout the project lifecycle

  • Support and mentor junior staff as the department expands

  • Take ownership of project quality, schedules, and financial performance



What we're looking for:


  • Extensive experience in drainage, flood studies, and H&H modeling

  • Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and related software

  • PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months (required for report sealing)

  • Strong project management and client-facing skills

  • Ability to lead independently with minimal oversight

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Passion for building and mentoring a growing team
