What you'll be doing:
Lead and manage drainage and flood study projects from start to finish
Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic studies, including floodplain analysis and drainage assessments
Use modeling software such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, or XPStorm
Prepare detailed drainage reports and documentation for regulatory approval
Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and external agencies
Engage directly with clients and serve as point-of-contact throughout the project lifecycle
Support and mentor junior staff as the department expands
Take ownership of project quality, schedules, and financial performance
What we're looking for:
Extensive experience in drainage, flood studies, and H&H modeling
Proficiency in HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and related software
PE license or ability to obtain within 6 months (required for report sealing)
Strong project management and client-facing skills
Ability to lead independently with minimal oversight
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Passion for building and mentoring a growing team
