This MEP engineering consultancy has been delivering mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for more than two decades, supporting projects across commercial, healthcare, industrial, retail, and mixed-use sectors. The team is known for its coordinated approach to design and its ability to work closely with architects and consultants to deliver practical, efficient building systems. They're looking for a Mechanical Engineer/Designer to join the team and contribute across every stage of project delivery, from site surveys and load calculations through construction administration and project coordination.
What you'll be doing:
Assisting with HVAC system design from early planning through final construction documentation
Conducting site surveys and gathering field information
Performing load calculations and Title 24 energy calculations
Preparing ductwork layouts and HVAC system designs
Developing control diagrams and equipment selections
Preparing product specifications and supporting technical documentation
Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, and electrical engineers
Supporting construction administration activities and responding to project questions
Assisting with quality control reviews of construction documents
Working closely with Project Managers throughout project delivery
What we're looking for
Experience in HVAC design within a consulting engineering environment
Understanding of mechanical building systems and construction documentation
Experience performing load calculations and duct design
Familiarity with Title 24 energy compliance requirements
Strong coordination skills and ability to work within multidisciplinary teams
Experience using Revit and other industry standard design software
Strong communication and organizational skills
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferred
Interest in developing both technical and project delivery experience
