A bit about you:
Master’s degree in Structural Engineering
7–10+ years of relevant experience in structural engineering, with a strong focus on healthcare facility design
California Professional Civil or Structural Engineering license
Expertise in seismic design, evaluation, and retrofit of buildings, especially in high seismic zones
Ability to perform complex structural calculations (linear and nonlinear analysis) with minimal supervision
Knowledge of design and modeling software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, Revit, MathCAD, AutoCAD, and Tekla
Passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers
A bit about tasks:
Lead the design and engineering of structural systems for healthcare and other facility projects from pre-schematic phase to construction closeout
Manage multiple projects, focusing on healthcare facility design and ensuring compliance with California building codes and seismic standards
Oversee and mentor junior engineers, designers, and BIM drafters in the creation of structural construction documents
Coordinate with clients and design teams to address project requirements, including architectural constraints, load requirements, and operational needs
Participate in business development and build client relationships for ongoing project success
