What you'll be doing:
Conduct on-site inspections to document existing conditions and identify damage or failure causes
Analyze structural and building envelope systems for performance and integrity
Review design drawings, specifications, and construction records to determine cause and origin
Develop repair or remediation recommendations grounded in solid engineering judgment
Prepare clear, defensible technical reports and present findings to clients
Manage multiple projects efficiently, maintaining timelines and budgets
Collaborate with architects, contractors, insurers, and legal professionals as needed
Travel locally and regionally for site investigations and assessments
What we're looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or ability to obtain licensure in Colorado
At least 5 years of experience in structural design, forensics, or building envelope work
Strong understanding of structural systems - steel, concrete, masonry, and wood
Comfortable with hands-on field investigations and site evaluations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Curious mindset with a desire to grow in forensic and investigative work
