What you'll be doing:
Lead forensic investigations into building and structural failures, storm damage, and construction issues
Conduct detailed field assessments and develop repair recommendations
Analyze documentation, drawings, and codes to identify causes of damage or failure
Prepare clear, detailed technical reports and present findings to clients and stakeholders
Manage projects from site evaluation through reporting and communication
Oversee budgets, timelines, and deliverables with accountability and ownership
Mentor junior engineers and support their professional growth
Partner with leadership on business development and strategic initiatives
Represent the firm in meetings with clients, contractors, and legal professionals
What we're looking for:
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) - Civil or Structural
8+ years' engineering experience, ideally in forensic assessment or building diagnostics
Strong understanding of building systems, materials, and failure mechanisms
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Confident managing multiple projects independently and engaging directly with clients
Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for autonomy, problem-solving, and team growth
Experience in construction defects, insurance evaluations, or litigation support is a plus
