Forensic Engineer

About the company:

We’re looking for a Forensic Engineer to join a leading firm in Dallas, TX! The company specializes in investigating structural failures and providing expert remediation and litigation support, working with attorneys, insurers, and property owners in a collaborative environment.

What you'll be doing:


  • Conduct in-depth investigations of structural failures, including building collapses, construction defects, and material degradation

  • Perform on-site inspections to assess the cause of failure or damage

  • Analyze design plans, construction methods, and materials for code and standard compliance

  • Provide expert evaluations for damage caused by natural disasters, fire, explosions, and more

  • Document findings through reports, drawings, and 3D models, presenting conclusions in an understandable format

  • Collaborate with legal teams, contractors, and insurance professionals to develop repair strategies


What we're looking for:


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required or ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe

  • 5+ years of experience in forensic structural engineering, failure analysis, or structural assessment

  • Strong knowledge of building codes, construction materials, and engineering principles

  • Experience with structural analysis software and finite element modeling is a plus
