Forensic Engineer
About the company:
Great forensic consultancies are built on the quality of their investigations and the trust of their clients. That's exactly how this boutique engineering firm has grown. Rather than relying heavily on business development, much of their work comes through repeat clients and referrals. You'll join a close-knit team of experienced forensic engineers who value technical quality and give their people the support to develop long-term careers.
What you'll be doing:
Investigate structural failures, construction defects and property damage
Carry out structural assessments across a variety of building types
Visit sites throughout the region to inspect and document damage
Determine the cause of failures and building-related issues
Prepare clear technical reports supported by engineering analysis
Provide engineering opinions to clients and project stakeholders
Manage multiple investigations from initial inspection through final reporting
Work independently while receiving support from experienced forensic engineers
What we're looking for:
Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Architectural Engineering
3-5 years of forensic or structural engineering experience
PE license preferred
EIT candidates progressing toward licensure will also be considered
Strong technical writing and communication skills
Comfortable carrying out field investigations and site inspections
Genuine interest in forensic engineering and technical problem-solving
More reasons to apply:
Fully remote position with regional travel
Bonus program and comprehensive benefits
Company vehicle and equipment provided
Work alongside highly experienced forensic engineers
Strong mentorship for engineers transitioning from structural design into forensics
Varied investigations rather than repetitive design work
Close-knit culture with genuine access to senior professionals
Regional travel with only occasional overnight stays
Stable workload built through long-standing clients and repeat business
