Commissioning Specialist

What you'll be doing:


  • Define commissioning scopes and prepare fee estimates for large projects.

  • Develop preliminary commissioning plans and pre-functional checklists

  • Create functional test procedures (FTPs) and coordinate their execution with project teams

  • Schedule and support commissioning events, attending regular project meetings

  • Witness testing, create punchlists, and help close out client issues

  • Track project budgets and advise management on scope changes

  • Compile and issue final commissioning reports

  • Contribute to department standards and support client relations and business development

  • Handle ad-hoc projects as needed



What they're looking for:


  • 1-15 years of experience in designing, operating, or commissioning complex mechanical systems

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or the sciences, or equivalent technical training

  • Professional credentials such as BCxP, CxA, CBCP, CEM, or LEED AP

  • Commitment to ongoing professional growth through industry seminars or development programs

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, testing and commissioning processes, and industry codes and standards

  • Ability to work independently on technical matters and collaborate on larger projects

  • Proficiency with project commissioning documents and tools, including Facility Grid

  • Familiarity with LEED processes and the ability to support project-specific LEED goals

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
