Thomas Young Group is a leading recruitment company within the architecture, engineering and construction sectors. Our approach is simple; to connect the right people with the right businesses.

Due to our specialist knowledge of the industry we are able to provide our clients with an in-depth understanding of their requirements and larger networks of the top performing candidates in their market.

This has enabled us to build a client base ranging from large international companies to small boutique consultancies.

Below is a rundown of the Directors’ experiences and what brought them to Thomas Young Group.

Harvey Dunsire

Harvey graduated with a Geography degree from the University of Exeter and went straight into work with a start-up recruitment firm in the Construction sector, where he established himself as one of the leading consultants in the company.

After a number of years working alongside Tom, they approached Adam with the idea of Thomas Young Group and the rest is history.

When not at work Harvey is a keen footballer captaining his local Saturday team.

Adam Boyce

Adam graduated from the University of Bath and joined a leading investment management company in London. He was one of the top sales performers in the team, working with some of the company’s largest global clients.

Having always had the aspiration to start his own business he saw the opportunity with Harvey and Tom as too good to turn down.

Outside of work Adam enjoys his music regularly going to local gigs and festivals.

Tom Chetham

Tom graduated with a degree in Business and Management from the University of Sussex. After moving to London, he joined one of largest graduate recruitment companies and quickly built a highly successful team.

He was headhunted to join a boutique Construction recruitment firm where he first met Harvey.

Tom is an avid golfer and spends his summers in America playing on some of the top courses.

Our process

We have created a hiring process that gives you the best chance in successfully filling your vacancies which is broken down into these different stages:

Stage 1

Discuss the vacancy in detail with both the hiring manager and the HR coordinator in order to create a full job description and company profile. This overview will be used as a guide for our recruiters to assess who is most relevant for the position.

Stage 2

We create a full market map which will be used to establish a comprehensive list of possible candidates who could be suitable for this position. This will then be narrowed down to a final shortlist of the most appropriate candidates.

Stage 3

Shortlisted candidates are approached by one of our directors and interviewed in order to assess suitability and motivations for any move. If the candidate is keen to proceed with an application this information is passed onto the client before any potential interview. 

Stage 4

Client decides which of the candidates they wish to interview and we will help to schedule the initial and subsequent interview stages.

Stage 5

Upon clients request, full reference checks are completed on each candidate and post-secondary degrees and relevant certifications and licenses are verified. You will then receive a full written reference report.

Stage 6

The top choice candidate is selected and presented with an offer. This will be delivered by the respective director in order to ensure the highest chance of success.   You will be kept updated throughout the process and full feedback from the candidate will be provided.
